Today I offer you a full res image sample from the Leica ME – taken in natural low light with the Zeiss 35mm f/2 lens.
If you click the above sample, you can see a full size 4000 x 2662 image where I added a slight vignetting for more drama – otherwise untouched. I set the Leica at ISO 640 and the shutter was at 1/45 second, hand held. I think this gives a good representation of how well this combo can really perform! This image was taken at a close friends’ home in Vermont – the windows coming into the room are east and north facing – mid afternoon with overcast skies.
I was a little worried about how the Leica would perform at this ISO and in this light – as the big complaint I always read is the performance in these situations. Looking at these results – it’s a non-issue.
I have to say, this photo represents VERY well what the eye would have seen standing in the room with us. The colors are rendered just right for my eye.
