Sensors: Sony RX1 | Nikon D4 | Leica M9

This was something I was curious about today, so I did a quick DxOMark compare on the cameras. No in-depth analysis from me at this time, just… interesting data as these are 3 cameras I am interested in for various reasons.  You can get more details out on DxOMark.

DxOMark scores for the NEX-5n (77)and NEX-C3 (73) both exceed the M9 score (69). With a Leica equivalent lens they should produce some excellent images. The real question is will the Voigtländer 4/21 on your NEX-C3 produce images that meet your artistic standards?

So far, the camera comes close, but doesn’t hit the standards of my eye yet. Granted, I haven’t played enough with it yet.

NEX with Voigtländer 4/21 should have a perspective similar to a 35mm lens on a full frame camera – you’re a master of the Zeiss 35mm ZF.2 D700 system – obviously depth of field is a difference and an issue – I’ll stay tuned, but I’m confident that you’ll master this system
